Since I have an absolute fascination with small business, I picked up on this article from my hometown newspaper, the Kansas City Star. The must read involves the "diary of buying a business" which begins at the bottom of the page.
The couple purchased an existing business using an SBA loan and documented each meeting and major event along the way. The diary, which must have been condensed, only hints at the emotion involved in such an accomplishment. Even more fascinating is that all of the events involved in purchasing the business represent just the beginning of the journey.
